Privacy Policy
Inmotion is dedicated to protecting your privacy and understands that you may have questions about how your information is used and collected. This Privacy Policy is designed to outline how we use information and answer the most common privacy questions related to our services. By using our website and services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
The information we collect and how we use it.
Generally. Inmotion uses the information you submit to provide you with the services you request. Inmotion does not share your information with or sell it to other marketers without your permission. Inmotion may share your information with vendors or affiliates that assist us in providing you services, though.
Communications with Inmotion. All communications with Inmotion customer service (including but not limited to e-mail, telephone and letter) may be recorded and saved.
Cookies. Cookies are data files stored by your web browser on your computer. Without them, you wouldn’t be able to use the Inmotion site or many other websites that also employ cookies. In all major web browsers, you can control how your browser and computer use and store cookies. But if you choose to reject all cookies, you will not be able to use Inmotion’s services.
Passive Data. From time to time, Inmotion uses small files called “tracker gifs” or “beacons” in our website or e-mails. These files allow us to collect non-personal data such as how our site is being used, when it is being used, which pages are visited, what pages referred to us, and the types of browsers viewing our website. This information is collected on a broad scale, analyzed in an aggregate format, and allows us to better understand our customers and provide the best experience possible on our website.
IP Addresses. Similarly, Inmotion may track IP addresses in the aggregate for administration purposes and to gather demographic information. We do not link IP addresses to any specific computer, except when you place an order using our online checkout process (where the IP address helps us to protect our customers by, for example, identifying fraudulent credit card uses). When necessary, we may share this information with the financial institution which issued the car and law enforcement authorities.
Testimonials. With each order Inmotion sends out, we ask our customers to comment on our services. Some of these responses may be used on our website as testimonials. You can see our testimonials page that collects many of these responses here. By submitting a testimonial to us, you agree and understand that we may publish that testimonial to promote our services. If we do, we will publish your first name, the first letter of your last name, and the city and state you are from. We will not publish your entire last name, personal address, phone number, e-mail, or other identifying personal information.
Use of E-mail and Mail. When you use Inmotion’s services, you will be asked to provide your e-mail and mailing address. Inmotion uses e-mail and mail to keep you updated on your order status, and will use your address to physically mail your products to you. Inmotion may also use both e-mail or physical mail to let you know about special deals, new features, products, or promotions that you may be interested in. You have the ability to unsubscribe from these through your account profile if you desire to.
Third Parties and Privacy in Media Content. Inmotion does not publish or make your pictures, videos, or media publicly available without your permission, neither online nor in its promotional content. Inmotion will not intentionally show your media to any third party who does not need to see it to provide Inmotion’s services. However, by submitting media to Inmotion for conversion or other services, you understand and agree that some individuals may see the content of the videos, and so you waive all privacy rights in the content of the media you submit. For example, a Inmotion employee may watch parts of a video you submit to make sure the conversion process is going smoothly, or may watch it after conversion during quality control checks. Please see our Terms of Use discussing your waiver of privacy rights.
Hosting and Storage Services. If you use Inmotion’s storage, hosting, and sharing services, then you will be provided with a link where you can access those videos or other media. Inmotion will not share the link with anyone besides you. Understand, though, that if you share the link—or if someone you give the link to passes it on—then any other person with the link may view those materials. Also please understand that if your media is hosted on a third party server, then the vendor providing that hosting service may also have access to your media.
Links to Other Websites. Inmotion’s website includes links to other websites, such as social media websites like Facebook and Twitter. Inmotion obviously cannot control the content or conduct of those websites. Those websites may have their own terms and conditions or privacy policies governing their use.
Other disclosures.
Legal Obligations. In order to comply with applicable laws and subpoenas, Inmotion may disclose personal information in its possession to law enforcement, regulatory authorities, or other parties.
Business Transfer. In the event that Inmotion is sold, acquired, or otherwise merges with another company, your personal information may be included as a part of that transfer.
Referral programs. Inmotion occasionally works with promotions like Groupon to market its services. The information flow with those referral groups is a one way street. The customer submits information to Groupon (or a similar service), and then Groupon sends it to Inmotion. Inmotion does not share any specific customer information with Groupon that the user does not submit directly to Groupon.
Other Advertising. A common practice in online marketing and advertising is for websites to advertise products and services to you based on other websites you have viewed, which helps to show you ads for goods that you may actually want. For example, once you visit Inmotion’s website, Google or other companies that control advertising placement may show you Inmotion ads on other websites with which Inmotion is not affiliated. Inmotion does not control the ads and websites where those ads appear, nor does it share any personal information about you to those companies.
Security. Inmotion uses industry standard protections for its website, which is intended to mitigate against the loss, misuse, alteration, breach, and theft of its information and services. As needed, Inmotion may use security measures to protect its website and online storage facilities, and that security service may be provided by a third party vendor. Inmotion reserves the right to provide information or access to any third party as necessary for security purposes.
Tracking. While Inmotion provides digital conversion and other services, it does not provide shipping services itself. To ship products, Inmotion has to share certain personal information, like your address, with the shipping carrier (UPS, FedEx, etc.) in order to ship products to you, which we reserve the right to do.
Changes and notifications.
From time to time, Inmotion may need to update this Privacy Policy and reserves the right to do so. If it changes, the updated Privacy Policy will be available here on our website along with older versions (so users can compare any changes) or an “updated” section (showing how it has been modified).
